This project allows the City of Romney to meet the requirements of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Implementation Plan. The upgrade removes more nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorous) from the waste water before it is discharged to the South Branch of the Potomac River. There is also room to grow and provide service to additional residents and businesses.
