City Maintenance

The City of Romney Maintenance Department is located on Red Bud Lane just north of Depot Street.

Duties of the Maintenance Department consist of general roadway repair and maintenance, cleaning side ditches, storm drains and streets. The Department’s crew is also responsible for the installation and repair of sewer lines, making new water and sewer taps and operating the jetted in sewer mains when needed. The Maintenance Department assists the Water and Sewer Departments when needed.

In addition to the above, the Maintenance crew is also responsible for trash removal from Main Street and all City Departments as well as mowing at the City Office and the Romney Pool/ Teen Center. During periods of snow and ice, the Maintenance crews plows and cinders city streets.

The current Maintenance Department employees are as follows:

  • Richard Kizer – Maintenance Supervisor
  • Robbie Clower – Mechanic

  • Chris Haines – Equipment Operator

  • Noah Fout – Laborer

Regular working hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Monday through Friday. The telephone number during regular hours is 304-822-3105.
