WASTE WATER OPERATOR IN TRAINING

The Town of Romney is seeking a qualified candidate for Waste Water OIT (Operator in Training).  This position reports directly to the Waste Water Treatment Plant Supervisor and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection and treatment systems owned and operated by the Town of Romney.  Qualified candidates must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers and the public; must have ability to read and understand technical instructional manuals, diagrams and maps; possess some mechanical and electrical skills, as well as basic computer skills.  Must possess valid Driver’s License, be willing and able to work in inclement weather conditions and be available to be on call as needed.  Employment is contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen, background check, MVA records check and physical assessment.  Salary commiserate with job experience.  Applications can be obtained at City Hall, downloaded from our website, or mail resume with references to City of Romney, 340 E. PUBLIC WORKS COORDINATOR

The Town of Romney is seeking a qualified candidate for Public Works Coordinator.  This position reports directly to the City Administrator, manages the employees of the Maintenance Department, and organizes, directs and coordinates the activities of the Water, Waste Water and Maintenance Departments with the mission to ensure quality services are carried out.  He / she should possess a thorough knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of public works maintenance and construction projects, and is responsible for prioritizing the medium and long-term direction of all departments.  Must possess valid Driver’s License.  Employment is contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen, background check, MVA records check and physical assessment.  Salary commiserate with job experience.  Applications can be obtained at City Hall, downloaded from our website, or mail resume with references to City of Romney, 340 E. Romney Police Department

Romney Police Department is now accepting applications for a part-time, WV Certified Law Enforcement Officer. Applications are available at the Romney City Police Department at 340 E. Main Street Romney WV 26757 or they can be obtained on our website at www.cityofromney.com. Position offers competitive salary and benefit package. Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of evenings, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver’s license and a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
